Meet the performers
Nicolas Tarantino
Despite being born and raised in Montreal, Canada (a French and English improv hotspot) Nick came to improv in his thirties after decades physics, mathematics and a fair amount of tabletop board gaming. Since then, he hasn't been able to get enough, going from a newbie in 2023, to organising a multilingual improv show in 2024. A lover of silly voices, wild choices and strong emotions, Nick is just at home in some short-form madness as he is in slower, character-driven long-form, where he lives and breathes his character's quirks in every outing with The Placeholders.
Gur Shachar
A thirteen-year veteran of the improv scene, Gur fell in love with improv by accident, stepping into a workshop just looking to unwind after work. His lifelong love for story-telling (ask him about his writing!) had other ideas for him, finding a home on stage and igniting a passion that exists to this day. A freelance copywriter by day, and meticulous improv story-crafter by night, you can find Gur getting up to his eyeballs in his character's emotions, digging into the truth of their story and bringing that to the fore in every Placeholders show.
